Amazon Suspension: Received Intellectual Property Complaints
If your Amazon account has been suspended due to Received Intellectual Property (IP) Complaints, it means that a rights owner—such as a brand or manufacturer—has formally accused you of violating their trademark, copyright, or patent rights. These complaints are serious and can lead to listing removals, account warnings, or a full account suspension if left unaddressed.
Amazon treats IP complaints with urgency, even if you believe the complaint is false or unfair. Acting quickly and professionally is key to reinstating your account.
Types of IP Complaints You May Receive

These complaints often result in ASIN removals and will appear in your Account Health Dashboard under the “Intellectual Property Complaints” section
What To Do If You’ve Received an IP Complaint
- Identify the complaint: Check your performance notifications for details about the ASIN, brand, and type of violation.
- Remove the listing: Immediately take down the affected product to prevent further action.
- Contact the rights owner: Politely request a retraction of the complaint. If you have authorization or proof of authenticity, provide it to them.
- Prepare a detailed Plan of Action (POA)
