Amazon Suspension for Invoice Manipulation

Invoice manipulation is a serious violation of Amazon’s policies and can result in a permanent suspension of your selling privileges. Amazon requires sellers to submit valid, truthful invoices for all inventory purchased from suppliers. These invoices must be accurate, legible, and in accordance with Amazon’s guidelines. Invoice manipulation refers to submitting fake, altered, or misleading invoices to Amazon in an attempt to bypass their policies, misrepresent the authenticity of products, or hide the true source of your inventory.

Common forms of invoice manipulation include:

Fake Invoices

Submitting invoices for products that were never purchased, or from non-existent suppliers.

Altered Invoices

Editing or altering legitimate invoices to change quantities, prices, or other details to meet Amazon’s requirements.

Unverifiable Sources

Providing invoices from suppliers that are not legitimate, or that cannot be verified by Amazon as a valid source of inventory.

If Amazon detects any form of invoice manipulation, it can lead to immediate suspension of your account. In some cases, Amazon may also request additional documentation to verify the authenticity of your invoices and business practices.
